What this role involves

About the Team

OpenAI’s User Operations team shepherds our customers’ adoption of AI and ensures that our customers’ product experience is nothing short of exceptional. We are building the very first post-AGI support team. We resolve complex issues, provide technical guidance, and support customers in maximizing value and adoption from deploying our products. We work closely with Sales, Technical Success, Product, Engineering and others, to deliver the best possible experience to our customers at scale. OpenAI’s customers represent a range of diverse backgrounds and maturity, from early-stage startups to established global enterprises.

About the Role

We’re looking for dedicated, experienced, and deeply curious individuals to help solve some of the most complex challenges faced by our customers while building the future of post-AGI support alongside us. In this role, you’ll work directly with customers through support tickets and live calls, troubleshooting high-impact issues and resolving novel, often ambiguous technical problems in one of the fastest-moving environments in technology. As AI adoption rapidly accelerates, the work you do will directly support mission-critical systems being built on OpenAI’s platform, serving as a critical line of defense for customers operating at massive scale.

Providing end-to-end ownership through debugging logs, analyzing system behavior, reproducing issues, and delivering expert guidance.

  • Become a trusted expert on OpenAI’s products and platform, serving as a go-to resource for complex technical issues.

  • Serve as a critical escalation point and line of defense for complex technical issues, partnering closely with customers and Engineering teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and proactively prevent recurring problems while leveraging scripting and emerging AI capabilities to improve internal tooling and automate operational workflows.

  • Take learnings from resolving customer issues and creating our approach to scaling these solutions, partnering with Product and Go-To-Market teams.

  • Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities for automation and AI-powered workflows, implementing scalable improvements that increase team efficiency, reducing manual effort, and elevating the overall support experience.

  • Provide occasional holiday and weekend support on call coverage, as needed, to support business and customer needs.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in User Operations, Engineering, Support Engineering or similar technical roles, ideally within high-growth tech startups or other fast-paced environments.

  • Have expert-level SaaS troubleshooting skills with the ability to rapidly understand new technologies and complex concepts.

  • Polished enterprise communication and are calm with high-stakes customers during live incident calls.

  • Proven experience building strong relationships with customers and cross-functional partners to drive resolution to complex issues.

  • Exceptional critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to both customers and internal teams.

  • Thrive in ambiguity, adapt rapidly to change, continuously learn, and proactively seek opportunities for growth.

  • Bring a humble, team first mindset, a genuine eagerness to help others, and the curiosity to quickly learn whatever knowledge is needed to help both your teammates and our customers succeed.

Support Virtual Auto Appraiser at Snapsheet Inc

Virtual claims negotiator who reviews auto damage estimates, negotiates with body shops, and manages high-volume claim processing while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Mid Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Job Title: Virtual Auto Appraisal Claims Negotiator (High-Volume Desk)

Company: Snapsheet

Job Location: Remote (See geographic restrictions below)

Job Type: Full Time

Start Date: 7/27/2026

About Snapsheet

Snapsheet is the industry leader in virtual property damage claims. While others are just now adapting to remote models, we engineered the standard. We provide the cloud-based architecture and elite technical expertise that over 170+ P&C Carriers, MGAs, and TPAs rely on to deliver precise outcomes. Our specialized services span the entire claim lifecycle, including virtual handling for auto, specialty lines, total loss, and total loss settlements.

The Role

We are not looking for candidates who can write basic auto collision estimates. We are looking for analytical reviewers who can research and support a technical position through negotiations and informed decision making. As a Virtual Claims Negotiator at Snapsheet, you are a technical expert with high-level problem-solving skills who thrives on executing tactical, high-volume work.

We look for reviewers who are motivated within a high-volume production environment,  but never at the expense of accuracy. You must ensure that repair plans are consistent with the reported facts of loss. We expect you to take ownership of the claim by identifying discrepancies and elevating questionable damages to leadership or the carrier for further review.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Negotiation: Pick up the phone and negotiate complex supplements and repair logic with body shops, ensuring estimates comply with carrier guidelines while maintaining professional rapport.
  • High-Volume Execution: Manage a high-speed desk, maintaining quality while meeting or exceeding a threshold of 10–16 claims per day.
  • Technical Defense: Utilize CCC One and other estimating platforms to write fair and accurate estimates to return vehicles to preloss condition based on photos, supporting your repair decisions with data and logic.
  • Process Adherence & Professionalism:
    • Documentation Excellence: Maintain meticulous, real-time documentation of all interactions with internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and process compliance.
    • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to pivot between diverse carrier workflows while maintaining a consistent, polished professional tone in both written and verbal correspondence.
    • Professional Conduct: Effectively represent Snapsheet and our carrier partners by resolving technical challenges with diplomacy, precision, and adherence to established guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–6 years of auto physical damage claims handling experience preferred. We highly value candidates with a background in both insurance carrier operations and collision repair environments. You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience writing auto property claims and a deep understanding of DRP (Direct Repair Program) workflows.
  • Proven Volume (Required):
    • Carrier/IA Desk: History of handling 10–16 desk reviews per day or experience in high-volume CAT deployments.
    • Carrier/IA (Field): History of successfully managing 6-10 field estimates per day.
    • Shop: Proven history of personal ownership over $100k+ in monthly individual sales.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive working experience in CCC One is required.
  • Market Experience: We have a strong preference for candidates with experience in high-competition, high-volume metro markets (e.g., Dallas, Chicago, Tampa). Navigating the negotiation nuances of these fast-paced environments is a significant advantage.

This Role is a Great Fit IF:

  • You’re an individual contributor who thrives doing the work — you’re not looking for a management entry point, but you do want a clear path to grow. Advancement here is real and based on your performance and development.
  • You have a focused background in auto material/property damage — this is a specialized role and that expertise is what sets you up for success here.
  • You’re energized by high-volume production and have a proven track record to match — this desk runs at 10–16 claims per day.
  • You want to actively engage in the negotiation process — researching and supporting technical positions through informed decision making rather than relying on automated adjustment tools like CCC Open Shop Assignment.

  • You’re comfortable and confident in technology-heavy workflows and the self-direction that remote work requires — this role runs across multiple platforms daily (our proprietary tools, CCC One, Google Suite, and more), and thriving here means being equally fluent in both.

We’re Built to Grow With You – And That Starts With How We Support You
